Natural Fragrances

Fragrance, what's in them, and how they are used is often a very hot topic in skincare forums everywhere. When we started on this journey, it quickly became obvious that we needed to make a decision and stick to it.

All our fragrance oils, in the instances when we use those, are paraben and phthalate free. The science around fragrance in general is limited at best, but we do know that the way our bodies can react to phthalates and parabens isn't great - so those are out. Recently, some suppliers have started to certify some fragrances as "100% natural." These fragrances are "are plant-based aromatics that are produced using pure essential oils and aromatic isolates derived solely from natural, raw botanical sources. All oils are certified to be free of synthetic ingredients." We are super excited to see this move towards a more natural approach.

We source all our fragrance oils from suppliers who are as transparent as possible, are committed to sustainable sourcing and eco friendly practices whenever possible.
